KRISTEN SUTTON Licensed Mental Health Counselor & Operations Manager
Providing Advanced Trama Focused Care to the People of Hawaii
About Kristen Sutton
My foundation began on the Big Island of Hawaii working with youth in a wilderness and horticultural therapy setting. My focus is on whole-person wellness and a committed supportive relationship with my clients. I have worked with many people experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, and eating disorders. I serve as the operations manager at Family and Addiction Counseling Llc in Honolulu, Hawaii and would be happy to help you personally, or connect you with one of our amazing therapists to provide the type of support you are looking for. You are worthy of happiness - let's create a path there together.
I have training and experience in Sand play therapy with children, EMDR, Nurturing Parenting, and Harm Reduction psychotherapy. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy with my patients which is is not about a specific intervention but rather tailoring interventions in the context of the individual's trauma history, triggers, and specific needs.
It can be hard and scary to reach out for help, but also incredibly brave. You don't have to suffer any longer. I practice a holistic approach to mental health and wellness. My approach stems from humanistic, positive psychology, and solution-focused counseling. I believe that you have an innate capacity for growth and healing.
